Your Success, Our Priority
Founded in 2005 with a passion for innovation and creativity, Wagenknecht's patent and trademark attorneys are developing and pursuing leading strategies to protect the intellectual property rights of corporations, universities, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs in the US and abroad.
Our approach is to pursue meaningful, close working relationships with our clients to best understand their needs. We then assign a senior attorney and case paralegal for each IP matter to ensure projects are handled at maximum efficiency, and the client is never left in the dark about who to contact should questions arise.
Our Patent Attorneys Are Passionate About Science
Wagenknecht recruits patent attorneys with not only impressive legal credentials but also impressive scientific backgrounds. You'll find every patent attorney and scientific advisor has an advanced degree in the sciences, academic research experience, and/or scientific industrial experience. Wagenknecht patent attorneys are passionate about science.
Interfacing with Your Team
Some of our clients are international corporations with in-house legal counsel. Other clients are filing a patent or trademark application for the first time. We are able to work with a variety of representatives, including science teams, to obtain the information needed at each step of representation and can generate reports useful for executives, science teams and budget committees.
A Boutique Firm with a Global Reach
Wagenknecht develops intellectual property strategies for a global marketplace and maintains close working relationships with specialists around the world. Therefore, when you work with Wagenknecht, you not only receive the highest value legal representation in the US, but also gain access to our network of cost effective firms in Europe, China, Japan, Australia, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico among others.
Project-Based Billing Policies
The majority of our attorney time is invoiced at an hourly rate; however, much of our paralegal and legal assistant work is performed on a flat fee basis to minimize fluctuations between those with different hourly billing rates. In instances where projects are well defined, we often provide flat fee services. Invoices are typically sent at different phases of a project to assist with budgeting, and to ensure our clients are aware which IP work goes with specific work invoices -- rather than splitting invoices based on the day of the month.
We are working to achieve a paperless office. It is our practice to send all incoming and outgoing correspondence by email. Large files are sent through our secure FTP site, with a temporary access link provided by email. Naturally, we can provide paper copes of documents if requested.
